Privacy Policy

Menevo is currently in beta. This policy describes, in plain language, what data we handle and how. It is a good-faith, GDPR-oriented summary and will be finalised before general availability.

Who we are

Menevo is a travel-planning application. For questions about your data you can reach us at privacy@menevo.app.

Data we collect

Account data: email address and the sign-in method you use.
Profile data: username, display name, avatar, country of residence, preferred currency and language, and an optional bio.
Travel data: the trips, budgets, checklists, documents and wallet entries you create in the app.
Technical data: anonymous usage analytics and error diagnostics (see below).

Why we use it

We process your data to create and secure your account, to provide the core trip-planning features, to let you share trips with people you invite, and to understand and improve how the product is used.

Where it is stored

Your data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider, on infrastructure located in the European Union. Data is kept for as long as your account exists; deleting your account removes it (see “Your rights”).

Analytics and diagnostics

PostHog (EU region) — anonymous, aggregated usage analytics. You can turn this off at any time from Options; when off, analytics are not collected.
Meta Pixel — ad-campaign measurement (Meta Platforms Ireland). Runs only if you consent via the banner; you can turn it off at any time from Options. Meta may process data outside the EU under its own privacy policy.
Sentry — technical error reports that help us fix crashes and bugs.

We also store a necessary technical cookie (your Supabase login session) so you can stay signed in. This one is required for the app to work.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers listed above (Supabase, PostHog, Meta, Sentry) strictly to operate and promote Menevo, and with the specific people you choose to invite to a trip.

Your rights

Access & portability — export your profile and trips as a JSON file from Options → Your data.
Rectification — edit your profile details on your Profile page.
Erasure — delete your account and all associated data from Options → Danger zone. This is immediate and irreversible.
